An addition to Beecraigs is our Secure Dog Area, where you can exercise your dog in an enclosed space. Perfect for training or practicing recall with your furry friend!
Beecraigs Country Park Secure Dog Area
How does it work?
Book your slot or slots through the Visitor Centre at Beecraigs Country Park by telephoning 01506 284516 (option 1), emailing mail@beecraigs.com or in person. One slot equates to 1hour. Please be aware the reception can be very busy so make sure you book well in advance.
Collect the key from the Visitor Centre and ensure that you know where you are going (you are advised to have done a recce in advance of your first booking). Your closest parking for the Secure Dog Area is at Balvormie; it is then a few minutes' walk to the Secure Dog Area. Return the key to the Visitor Centre at the end of your slot.
Aim to arrive at the Area at your start time and be ready to leave just as it finishes (as a courtesy to the next person).
Please do not arrive too early and hang around outside the Secure Dog Area as you are likely to disrupt the activities of others already on the Area.
You have exclusive use of the Secure Area for your booking i.e. it is not a 'drop in' for anyone passing.

Costs
Secure Dog Area 2024/25
- Commercial club/group hire (max 6 dogs) £19.30 per hour
- Public use (max 2 dogs) £8.65 per hour with extra dogs charged at £2 per head per hour
