Unoccupied but Furnished Property Discount
If the property is unoccupied but furnished a 50% Council Tax discount may be awarded.
This discount is awarded for a maximum period of 12 months depending on the date the property was last occupied.
You will be charged for the full water and waste charges during this period.

Important: If after this period of Council Tax discount, the property is still unoccupied it will be classed as a long term unoccupied property and will be charged at twice the full charge for the band the property is in. There are long term unoccupied property discounts available in specific circumstances.
