Rent Consultation 2023/24 to 2027/28
In the Autumn of 2022, the council provided information and options to all tenants on rent increases from 2023/24 to 2027/28.
74% of all who took part selected option 1 - an annual increase of 3.5% per year over 5 years. Tenants' preferred option was then agreed at the council budget meeting in February 2023. This option allows us to invest the required amount in our existing housing stock and would support the build of 350 new build council houses
This increase of 3.5% took effect on 1st April 2023.
