Business Rates (Non-Domestic Rates) is a tax we raise and collect from business properties such as offices and shops.
We pass the money we collect to the Scottish Government. The Scottish Government takes the money collected from all councils and passes it back through grants.
If you are having problems paying who to contact and what happens if you don't pay your Business Rates.
West Lothian Council receives a number of requests of a similar nature for information which relates to Business Rate accounts (non-domestic properties).
