Have your say on our draft Housing Domestic Abuse Policy
West Lothian Council is consulting on a draft Housing Domestic Abuse Policy. Your feedback will help improve how Housing Services responds to and supports people affected by domestic abuse.
The policy applies to Council tenants, people seeking housing or homelessness support, affected household members, and staff delivering relevant services.
It explains how we will:
- provide safe, sensitive and trauma-informed support;
- help victim-survivors remain safely at home or explore other housing options;
- work with partner agencies to manage risk;
- consider appropriate action against those responsible for abuse; and
- treat everyone with dignity, fairness and respect.
Taking part
You do not need to have personal experience of domestic abuse to take part in this consultation. We welcome views from all tenants, residents, community members, organisations and partners.
