A801 Whitburn - Road Closure (Monday 6 Jul)
The A801 northbound arm of Whitburn Interchange and A801 southbound arm of Whitburn Interchange. will be closed to allow for concrete investigation works to be carried out at the two structures that carry the M8 over the A801 Whitburn Interchange. Closures will be overnight with one arm of the roundabout closed at any one time
When will this take place?
The Road Closure will take place from 8pm on Monday 6 July until 6am on Saturday 15 August
Diversion Routes
A801 North Arm Closure:
1.Westbound M8 to A801 northbound: M8 westbound, exit Junction 4A, Heartlands, M8 eastbound, Junction 4 eastbound off-slip, A801 northbound.
2.Westbound A705 Main Street: A801,West Main Street in Whitburn, Armadale Road, exit onto the A706 at Whitdale Roundabout,A801 at Boghead Roundabout.
3.Eastbound A705: A801,Toll Roundabout, A779 Starlaw Road, Boghall Roundabout, A7066 Starlaw Road and A801 at Boghead Roundabout. A801 South Arm Closure:
4.Traffic on the M8 Eastbound wishing to exit at Junction 4 and join the A801 southbound:M8 eastbound at Junction 3A, Carnegie Road, Starlaw Road, M8 via the Junction 4 westbound off-slip and A801.
5.Westbound traffic on the A7066: Boghead Roundabout,A706,Whitdale Roundabout, Armadale Road, East main Street, Main Street and A801.
6.Eastbound traffic on the A706: Boghead Roundabout , A7066 Starlaw Road, Boghall Roundabout, Starlaw Road, Toll roundabout,A706 and A801.
