Current Road Closures, Diversions and Traffic Disruptions
Details of road closures and diversions currently in place in West Lothian.
It is our aim to limit the inconvenience to road users during maintenance works however, from time to time, we need to close roads or divert the traffic.

Parking will be restricted at Almondell Terrace, East Calder from B7015 Main Street to number 6 and number 7 Almondell Terrace to allow safe access of heavy vehicles to and from the Scottish Water, waste water treatment site.
The A801 northbound arm of Whitburn Interchange and A801 southbound arm of Whitburn Interchange. will be closed to allow for concrete investigation works to be carried out at the two structures that carry the M8 over the A801 Whitburn Interchange. Closures will be overnight with one arm of the roundabout closed at any one time
Hens Nest Road will be closed for Scottish water works .
The B7010 Fauldhouse will be closed from the Railway Bridge to the east of Cemetery Road and the access road to Fauldhouse Railway Station for carriageway resurfacing
The C17 will be closed from the junction with the B792 Ballencrieff Toll northeast to the junction with Cathlaw Lane for carriageway surface dressing works
The U38 will be closed from the junction opposite Southwood Cottage for BT ducting work
The footpath and car parking area next to 92 Kennilworth Rise will be closed to allow for scaffolding to be erected for roofing works
Main Street will be closed in phases for extensive carriageway resurfacing works
Howden South Road will be closed between Terrace Roundabout and Almondvale East Road for carriageway resurfacing works
The C17, Rural Linlithgow will be closed from the junction with Riccarton Drive to the junction with C18 for ironwork replacement
Details of the M8 overnight carriageway closures from 25 May to 13 July 2026.
Temporary traffic signals will be in place on the B7008 Rural West Calder between the junction with Parkhead Crescent in West Calder and the C24 crossroads to allow for carriageway improvement works
