Friends of Blackmoss
Blackmoss Nature Park in Armadale needs volunteers to help the Ranger Service with conservation and maintenance tasks in the Park.
Friends of Blackmoss
Blackmoss Nature Park is a Local Biodiversity Site situated on the south-west edge of Armadale. It consists of a variety of habitats including important lowland raised peat bog, native scrub woodland, grassland and wetland. It is vital greenspace for local residents in an urban area.
Up to four volunteer sessions currently run at Blackmoss. Tasks include litter picking, path maintenance, pond work, cutting back overgrown vegetation, meadow management, tree planting and invasive plant species control.
Getting involved
Booking for volunteer sessions (including the Friends group sessions) is done through the Ranger Service Eventbrite page. Please visit the Ranger Service page for more information on how to do this.
