Customer Service Excellence

Customer Service Excellence (CSE) was developed to offer services a practical tool for driving customer-focused change within the organisation and is used as Best Practice within the organisation. In 2023/24, West Lothian Council retained the Corporate CSE accreditation.

The council achieved the Customer Service Excellence (CSE) standard in 2010 across all services to ensure that continual improvement was sought across all council areas.

CSE challenges services to engage with customers directly on the issues that are important to them and has helped council staff re-design service delivery to reflect customer needs.
