Orienteering is a great for a fun family outing or a fantastic group activity which develops team work, fitness and map reading skills.

Orienteering in West Lothian is fun

Discover West Lothian's new and improved orienteering courses.

Some free maps (thanks to funding from Awards for All) are still available (while stocks last) for some of the following locations, at Country Parks to help you find your way around.  Do ring in advance to check if they have the one you are after.

Courses are located in:

  • Polkemmet Country Park
  • Beecraigs Country Park 
  • Dechmont Law
  • Almond Park - Livingston
  • Eliburn Park - Livingston

Beecraigs Maps

Maps for the nine courses (Very easy to difficult) at Beecraigs Country Park are available to download from Forth Valley Orienteers (opens new window) website.  There is a charge of £2 per course. Once purchased, maps can be downloaded and printed from the public PC in Beecraigs Visitor Centre in black and white (the cost of printing is 20p per sheet).
