Annual Leave
Non-Teaching Staff
The leave year runs from 1 January - 31 December.
Full-time employees covered by the SJC and Craft Terms and Conditions are entitled to 187.2 hours (26 days) annual leave, rising to 223.2 (31 days) on completion of 5 years' service (on 1 January). Annual leave for part time employees and those who work non-standard working patterns must be calculated and taken in hours. Examples of non-standard working patterns would include
- part time working
- compressed working week
- shift working
Employees working on a sessional or term time contract will receive a pro-rata payment for annual leave and public holidays within their monthly salary.

Teaching Staff
The leave year runs in conjunction with the academic session.
The annual leave entitlement of a full time teacher or music instructor is 40 days. Pro rata arrangements apply to part time staff and those employed for any part of the leave year. Public holidays are included in this entitlement. The annual leave entitlement is inclusive of statutory leave entitlement.
