Home Energy Efficiency Programmes for Scotland (HEEPS)
Information on Home Energy Efficiency Programmes for Scotland (HEEPS)
In order to tackle fuel poverty and meet the energy and emission reduction targets, a primary focus of the Scottish Government strategy must be on improving the energy efficiency of Scotland's existing homes by retrofitting the existing housing stock. Scottish Government money is being used to bring together a range of funding streams and to lever maximum investment by the energy companies into Scotland, primarily via the Energy Company Obligation (ECO).
Area Based Schemes
Working in partnership with the Scottish Government, West Lothian Council are offering grant funding to householders to encourage the uptake of energy efficiency improving measures with a specific focus on Solid Wall Insulation and Hard To Treat properties.
These projects are funded by the Scottish Government in order to help householders access grants and assistance to make their homes warmer and more affordable to heat subject to qualifying criteria.
