Long Term Unoccupied Properties

What is a long term unoccupied property and how much council tax is charged.

A long term unoccupied property is one that has been unoccupied for a continuous period of  more than 12 months and will be charged twice the full Council Tax charge for the band the property is in.

This affects Council Tax charges only, the amount you are charged for water and waste water will still be the same.

There are long term unoccupied property discounts available in specific circumstances.
