Seat Spot in West Lothian Council Libraries

West Lothian Council's Libraries are supporting Seat Spot, a charity that campaigns for ample suitable seating in public places for people with mobility and fatigue issues.

Look out for the Seat Spot logo in all 14 libraries in West Lothian, which indicates there will be a seat that you can use to rest and recover before continuing with your daily tasks.

There is no need to engage with the activities of the library, although you would be more than welcome. In our libraries you could contribute to the community puzzle, attend a tea and blether session, have fun at the craft table or join the library and borrow books or magazines.

Please feel free to visit and stay as long as you need.

The Seat Spot sticker are being placed in all 14 libraries across West Lothian from February 2026.

If you are not sure which seat is designated for Seat Spot, please check with a friendly member of staff who will be able to assist.
