Reusable Face Coverings
Did you know that disposable face coverings have a lifespan of 450 years? This means that any disposable masks we throw away will still be around for the next 4 centuries! Masks and plastic gloves are regularly washed up on beaches around the world so why not stay safe while also keeping the environment safe too? By making your own face covering from unwanted pillowcases, t-shirts or even socks you can reduce the demand for disposable face masks, recycle your unwanted fabrics and reuse your masks over and over again, just wash it after every use - that's the 3 R's in one face mask! Have a look at the BBC How To Make Your Own Face Mask Guide to see just how easy it is to make your own waste free face mask.
