The minimum unit price for alcohol applies to both:

  • Premises that sell alcohol for consumption off the premises and
  • Premises that sell alcohol for consumption on the premises

The Scottish Government have created a website which provides guidance and information on minimum unit pricing such as frequently asked questions, example calculations and general guidance on how to make your business MUP ready. Any alcohol sold under an occasional licence will also be subject to the alcohol minimum unit price.

All premises and occasional licences will be subject to a mandatory condition from the above date. A copy of the updated conditions can be found in the downloads section of this page.
