Council services in Livingston on the move
A number of council services are set to move from Arrochar House in Livingston town centre.
The Customer Information Services (CIS) team, Livingston Social Work Centre, West Lothian Community Learning Disability Team and Business Gateway have now moved to the adjacent Torridon House. The sale of the Arrochar House to Prestige Leisure UK Limited was agreed by Council Executive earlier this year.
The Lanthorn Library has been based in Torridon House while the renovation work to the Lanthorn Centre in Dedridge was completed. The library will be closed from Friday 29 November, before re-opening back in the Lanthorn on Tuesday 14 January 2025.
During the closure, customers can attend any other library within West Lothian. The nearest libraries are Almondbank Library in Craigshill and Carmondean Library in Livingston North Partnership Centre, more details at Libraries or please contact library.info@westlothian.gov.uk (opens new window) for specific enquiries.
For any customers with books currently out on loan, the loan period has been extended to 20 January 2025 due to the move.
