West Lothian Council will only fund children listed on the childminder's named Individual Placement Agreement (IPA) List to attend that childminder, for up to a maximum of 1140 hours per child per 2yr old year or school year (pro rata if starts or becomes eligible after the 1st day of the 2yr old year or school year). IPA lists are only valid for one year and can change on a daily basis as children are added or removed. Changes happen through new allocations or cancellations being processed. Funding will stop for any child listed on the IPA list if they reach the maximum number of hours that will be funded or the next year starts whichever comes first, or it is the end of a 4 weeks’ notice period. Removal of a child from the IPA list does not infer that another child will be allocated in their place. Hours purchased for children listed on the IPA list that are unable to attend can be used for another child at the discretion of West Lothian Council.
