Put out your bins as normal on May Day
West Lothian residents who have a bin collection due on Monday 6 May 2024 should put it out as normal.
Bins should be left out until they are emptied, and householders are asked to be patient while crews work to clear any backlog caused by the bank holiday.
Our hard-working teams are aiming to have all bins uplifted within a week of your usual collection date.
Anyone who is unsure of their collection dates can check at Household Recycling and Waste, where you can also register for convenient email updates on when your collections are due.

If you wish to book a visit at one of West Lothian's five community recycling centres, please visit Community Recycling Centre (CRC) bookings. If you have booked a recycling centre visit in advance and no longer require it, please cancel your booking so it can be used by another local resident.
No bookings for bulky uplifts will be accepted for Monday 6 May to allow resources to be prioritised on wheeled bin collections.
