It is an outcome of the council's People Strategy (PDF, 419 KB)(opens new window) the we have an inclusive and supportive workplace culture where people have confidence that their wellbeing is a priority. The People Strategy is supported by the Employee Health and Wellbeing Framework (PDF, 625 KB)(opens new window) which acknowledges that good mental and physical health is fundamental to wellbeing, demonstrates the council's commitment to creating a healthy and safe working environment for its workforce and encourages employees to maintain good health by pursuing healthy lifestyle options.
As well as holding targeted events and initiatives, the council's Four Pillars of Wellbeing Toolkit draws together a number of resources designed to inform and signpost to various aids and services available locally to support employees in improving their health and general wellbeing.
The council's employee benefits scheme also provides access to a number of additional health and wellbeing resources.
