Play Works - Pirate Ship! - £25,000

Play Works are a community led and community owned, local charity that provides children and families with outstanding play facilities, community play events, activities and groups for children and their families, to attend. They improve children and family's health, wellbeing and resilience and also contribute to tackling inequality and poverty, and the regeneration of their local area.

The Range Playground has been operated by Play Works, as part of Broxburn Family Centre, for 26 years. The playground is open to all and Play Works community play sessions during the school holidays are enjoyed by hundreds of children and families from across West Lothian. After 26 years of constant use, Play Works are looking for capital investment to replace a worn-out play structure. Consultation has taken place with the children who use the facility, and they have asked for a Pirate Ship.

Therefore, Play Works seek £25,000 towards the cost of purchasing and installing a new custom-designed Pirate Ship play structure at the Range Playground. This impressive piece of play equipment will be installed in a large sandpit area within the playground and will be enjoyed by hundreds of children, for years to come.
