Stoneyburn and Bents Future Vision Group - Outdoor Play Area Improvements at Foulshiels Park - £13,507

Stoneyburn and Bents Future Vision Group support activities that improve Stoneyburn and its facilities by providing educational and recreational opportunities for all ages. The group achieve this by actively engaging with residents, schools and businesses to enhance the community and encourage residents to take part in village life. The Vision Group also organise a number of community groups and projects to increase local engagement and participation amongst residents.

Stoneyburn and Bents Future Vision Group consulted local residents on what improvements are needed in the area and the community seeks to improve Foulshiels Park. The park is centrally located within the village but is currently underused due to the play and outdoor gym equipment not being fit for purpose.

Therefore, Stoneyburn and Bents Future Vision Group seeks £13,507 to carry out a number of improvement works to the park. This includes the installation of an outdoor table tennis table and equipment; installing a solar powered bench to enable users to charge devices whilst using the park; the installation of bike racks for safe storage and additional outdoor benches and tables for the community to use.
