Harburn Village Hall - Hall Improvements - £19,558
Harburn Village Hall is operated and managed by the community as a charitable SCIO to provide a community facility for the undertaking of social welfare, recreational, and leisure activities aiming to enhance the quality of life for residents of Harburn and the surrounding district.
The Harburn rural community is spread out over an area of sixteen square miles of farmlands, forestry, lochs and wind farms and comprises the people who work on them. For one hundred years Harburn Village Hall has been at the very heart of the community, where families have celebrated and commemorated parties, birthdays, weddings, funerals and other events. The Hall is fully self-funded by the community and plays host to a variety of clubs and organisations, meetings, surgeries and community events. Over recent years the trustees have focussed on the regeneration of the Hall and its facilities and are looking to further upgrade and improve the facilities.
Harburn Village Hall seeks £19,558 to repair the flooring of the Halland install ECO Energy insulation materials; upgrade the current sounds system and incorporate a hearing aid loop service; replace and upgrade the projector and screen in the Hall; purchase new chairs and redecorate the Hall. The improvements work will help to ensure that the Harburn Village Hall continues to meet the needs of all in the community and remains fit for purpose for many years to come.
