East Livingston and East Calder Ward

East Livingston and East Calder is the fourth largest ward in West Lothian with a population of 19,752. It contains Uphall Station, Pumpherston, Craigshill, Mid Calder, East Calder, Kirknewton, Wilkieston, Harburn and Roman Camps.

This ward borders Edinburgh City, Midlothian and South Lanarkshire. Craigshill a residential area in east Livingston has a population of 5,849. East Calder has a population of 5,123.

Local Area Committee

A Local Area Committee has been established in East Livingston and East Calder Ward. This Committee is a forum through which local issues are discussed and it encourages discussion between local members, local officers and the wider community, playing a key role in Locality Planning.

Regeneration Meetings/Details

The Community Empowerment Act 2015 states that all Community Planning Partnerships in Scotland must develop plans for specific communities.  The plans must identify priorities that are specific to the community and detail actions to reduce inequalities. In the East Livingston and East Calder ward there is only one Regeneration Area, Craigshill.  For more information on ongoing work in the Regeneration Area please check the Craigshill Regeneration Area

 

Craigshill is located within the East Livingston and East Calder ward and has a population of 5,849.
