On 21 February 2023 West Lothian Council agreed its budget for 2023 - 24. The budget allocated to the Voluntary Organisations Funding budget was £940,000.
As previously agreed the £940,000 Voluntary Organisations budget would cover three distinct processes:
Those groups designated as suitable for a Service Level Agreement or Commissioning - £569,504
The Third Sector Community Support Fund open grant scheme - £362,500
Twinning Associations annual grant - £11,920
Six organisations will deliver activity in 2023 - 24 via a Service Level Agreement for a total of £569,504. The funding covers the period 1st July 2023 - 30th June 2024.

On 9 January applications were invited from the third sector for the Third Sector Community Support Fund, with a deadline of 24 February 2023. In total 43 applications were received totally £1.4 million for 2023 -24 with an available budget at the time of £ 346,000. An additional £16,500 has become available thereby making the overall funding available £362,500.
A total of £11,920.00 is available for five Twinning Associations, as detailed below, in West Lothian in 2023 -24. A link officer from within Education Services will monitor organisations and twinning activities undertaken in 2023 - 24.
