Creative Learning Network

The aim of the Creative Learning Network (CLN) is to champion the arts, culture and creativity in schools within the overarching context of the Curriculum for Excellence for the long term benefit of learners.

Creative
The West Lothian CLN project works with Scottish creative company Hidden Giants led by Paul Gorman who has been working on several artist in residence projects over the past few years.

The artists are working alongside teaching staff to examine the role of the educator within contemporary schools and the collaboration involves reflection, research and pilot projects.

The emphasis is not on a final, polished outcome but a meaningful examination of the methods which can be applied to transform learning.

The Creative Learning Networks Fund is managed by Education Scotland, in partnership with Creative Scotland to support the development of Creative Learning Networks (CLNs) in local authority areas across Scotland.
