2025/2026 - school session runs from the 13 August 2025 - 26 June 2026
The process to apply for P1 or S1 places for August 2025 has passed the closing date.
The School Placement Panel have met this week and determined which schools, and which applicants from these schools, are being referred to the second Panel meeting in April 2025.
Secondary Schools being referred are: Armadale Academy, Bathgate Academy, Linlithgow Academy, Sinclair Academy, St Margaret's Academy, The James Young High School, West Calder High School, Winchburgh Academy.
Primary School being referred are: Low Port PS, Springfield PS, Holy Family PS, Livingston Village PS, Bellsquarry PS, Calderwood PS, East Calder PS, Greenrigg PS, Torphichen PS.
Applicants being referred to second meeting in April 2025 - were issued notification via e-mail on the 19 March 25 and should note:
No decision has been made on any applicant that has been referred, decisions for these applicants will be made at the second meeting in April 25.
Those applicants that have been referred were issued a letter informing them of this by e-mail on the 19 March 2025 (please check junk/spam folders).
This letter advises the applicant that they have until the 28 March to submit any further information they wish the Panel to be aware of, before the Panel makes a decision on their application at the second meeting in April 2025.
Applicants NOT being referred to second meeting in April 2025 - should note:
- Pupil placement are working on generating decision letters and will issues them as soon as possible, please do not e-mail to ask about your letter until after 04 April 2025.
Applications submitted after the closing date - will still be accepted but those received from the 17 March onwards will not be considered until all applications received by the closing date have had decision letters issued, the deadline for these to be issued is by the end of April 2025.
