Council minutes, meetings and agendas

All information relating to council minutes, meetings and agendas is available via the Council Information System (CoIns)

Committee Services administers the CoIns system (opens new window) . This system is used to produce online agendas, link the reports to the agenda and finally link the decision to the report.  This give you the option of tracking a decision back to the report and Committee Meeting and tracing the final decision from the agenda.

The Coins system also provides details of all committee meetings, past and present, including details of councillors who sit on each committee.

Council minutes prior to November 2008 were created in a previous version of Coins and can be accessed using the following link Old Coins System (opens new window)

Members of the public can view live broadcasts of meetings of West Lothian Council.
West Lothian Council is required by law to set up a committee to consider appeals against the refusal of school placing requests or against exclusion from schools. The committee is called the West Lothian (Placing in Schools) Appeal Committee and is clerked and administered by the council's Legal Services.
