Put out your bins as normal on the Bank Holiday on 4th May.
West Lothian residents should put out their bins on their usual collection date on the bank holiday of 4 May.
Bins should be left out until they are emptied, and householders are asked to be patient while crews work to clear any potential backlog caused by the bank holiday on 4 May 2026.
Resources will be prioritised to collect grey and brown bins on the bank holiday day, with green and blue bins possibly delayed. Our hard-working teams are aiming to have all bins uplifted within a week of your usual collection date
