Boundaries Scotland are hosting a local inquiry in Whitburn into their proposals to change Scottish Parliament boundaries.

The meeting will take place on Tuesday 3 December at Whitburn Partnership Centre, with two sessions from 2pm until 4pm and 6pm until 8pm.
Boundaries Scotland's review of Scottish Parliament boundaries has put forward a proposal which would see Fauldhouse and Whitburn moved to a shared constituency with North Lanarkshire for Holyrood elections.
The proposals would also see West Lothian moved out of the current Lothian Region for selecting list MSPs, and placed into the Central Scotland region.
Anyone wishing to speak at the inquiry is invited to contact Boundaries Scotland on 0131 244 2001 or email boundaries.scot@scottishboundaries.gov.uk to book a slot.
West Lothian Council's Executive recently unanimously agreed to object to the proposals, on the grounds that the proposals do not reflect historic, social, employment, transport or geographical links between the communities concerned.
Please note the proposals, if approved, would only affect the Scottish Parliament constituency boundaries, so current West Lothian Council local authority boundaries and UK Parliamentary constituency boundaries would be unaffected.
