National strike called off
Proposed national strike action that was expected to impact on West Lothian Council waste and street cleansing services has now been called off.

The recognised trade unions - Unison, GMB and Unite - have all agreed to suspend planned strike action between 14 to 22 August 2024.
This follows an improved national pay offer from CoSLA and the Scottish Government to resolve the dispute, with the unions now consulting their members over accepting the revised deal.
