Nomination period for the Armadale and Blackridge local government by-election open Monday 15 July

The nomination period for potential candidates in the Local Government By-Election in the Armadale and Blackridge ward of West Lothian Council opens on Monday 15 July. 

Prospective candidates can submit nomination papers between 10am and 4pm from Monday 15 July through to Friday 19 July 2024.   Please call the Election Team on 01506 282035 or email elections@westlothian.gov.uk if you wish to make an appointment to lodge nomination papers.  

Nomination papers can be found via the West Lothian Council website, where you can also find the Notice of Election and other relevant information for candidates and voters.

Eligible voters have until midnight on Tuesday 6 August 2024  to make sure they are registered to vote in the by-election

Registering to vote is now very easy. You can register to vote via https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote or by calling 0131 344 2500 and the Electoral Registration Office will help.
