The disruption, caused by street closures and other traffic management to allow the processions to safely take place in Linlithgow, will affect the scheduled collection of brown bins and operation of bus services in the areas.

A West Lothian Council spokesperson said: "The necessary street closures to allow everyone to safely enjoy Linlithgow Marches will have a significant impact on the delivery of bin and bus services.

"We would encourage Linlithgow residents and anyone planning to travel by bus in the area to consider how it will affect them how it might affect them."

Those who live in streets that are part of the main town centre parade route for Linlithgow Marches should delay putting out their brown bins to the following day, Wednesday 19 June.

The streets affected are Blackness Road, High Street, West Port, Falkirk Road, Main Street, A803 (Linlithgow Bridge), Low Port, and The Cross.

Other Linlithgow properties affected by the Marches may find their collections are delayed. These include: Burghmuir Court, Springfield Road, Barons Hill Avenue, Blackness Road, Oatlands Park, Manse Road, Back Station Road, High Port, High Street, Moray Drive, Braehead Road, Preston Road, Preston Terrace, Preston Avenue, Barkhill Road, Royal Terrace, St John's Avenue, Union Road, West Port, The Vennel, Provost Road, Edinburgh Road, New Well Wynd, The Cross, Strawberry Bank, Preston Crescent, Mains Maltings, Mains Road, Falkirk Road, Main Street, A803 (Linlithgow Bridge), Avontoun Park, Mill Road, Kettilstoun Road, Justinhaugh Drive, Lennox Gardens, Highfield Avenue, Low Port, Kirkgate, Riccarton Road, Back Station Road, and St Ninian's Road.
