Council to grant lease extensions
Proposals to extend the lease of two council properties have been approved by West Lothian Council Executive.
One report recommended the approval of a five-year lease extension of office accommodation within West Lothian Civic Centre in favour of the Lord Advocate.
Under the governance of the Lord Advocate, the Crown Office Procurator Fiscal Service has occupied this office space in the Civic Centre since 2009 under a 15-year lease which is set to expire in August 2024.
Council Executive was also be recommended to approve a proposed 15-year lease extension for nursery premises at Lairds Lodge in Polkemmet Country Park to Polkemmet Day Care Limited
The report to committee notes that the 15-year extension is in the best interest of the council.
Both proposals were approved by Council Executive on Tuesday 16 April.
