New Women N2 Work graduates celebrated
West Lothian Council continues to support women to overcome obstacles in their way when it comes to accessing employment opportunities.
A special event was held in Livingston Station Community Centre recently to mark the latest graduates of the Women N2 Work Course, which offers support and assistance to women that are thinking of starting or returning to work.
Run by employment experts from West Lothian Council's Access2employment service, the course covers a range of topics including wellbeing, empowerment & personal development, mock interview support, CV development, job searching, and more. Graduates have also achieved SQA qualifications through their participation and completion of the course.
Executive councillor for the economy, community empowerment and wealth building, Kirsteen Sullivan met with the graduates and passed on her congratulations.
Cllr Sullivan said: "Well done to all the women who completed the course and I wish them all the best as they seek fresh employment opportunities. The Women N2 Work course provides the environment for participants to add to their skillset and also instils a sense of confidence and empowerment among the attendees.
The council's Access 2 Employment team does a fantastic job in delivering these valuable courses and offers a wide range of targeted support for anyone looking to get back into work or develop their skills for employment. Please get in touch if you would benefit from additional support."
The next Women N2 Work course starts on 14th May at Seafield community centre. To enrol or enquire for more details about the Women N2 Work Course, please contact the Access2Employment team at:
