Knightsridge Community back together ahead of half century celebrations
A West Lothian school community is celebrating being back together in time to mark a very special anniversary.
All staff and pupils are now back at Knightsridge Primary School in Livingston, after being split up for the last 18 months due to essential repair work at the school.
Both nearby Deans Primary School and Deans Community High School hosted Knightsridge pupils and staff to allow the works to be safely completed. Primary 6 and 7 pupils and the staff who support them were the last to return to the school recently, bringing the whole school community back together again.
This reunites everyone at Knightsridge Primary School ready to start the celebrations to mark their 50th anniversary later this year.
Knightsridge Primary School Head Teacher Joanne Kerr said: "We are absolutely delighted to have the whole Knightsridge family back together once again.
"Thanks to everyone in the Knightsridge community for their support during the works. All our pupils, staff, parents/carers and wider school community have been fantastic throughout this time.
"A huge thanks must also go to our friends at Deans Primary School and Deans Community High School for all their support in hosting us over the last 18 months. The temporary moves went really well, and have helped improve the already strong connections between our cluster schools.
"It's a special year for Knightsridge Primary School as we start planning for our 50th anniversary and we look forward to celebrating this with our school community."
