Festive greetings from the Provost
My role as provost gives me the privilege to meet many wonderful residents and I can say this has certainly been the case over the past year.
When carrying out my civic duties I never fail to be amazed by the overwhelming community spirit I encounter across West Lothian. There are truly some extraordinary individuals and organisations who work tirelessly to support vulnerable people and make sure they know they are not alone.
When carrying out these visits I am reminded that a small act of kindness can go a long way. I would ask everyone to keep this in mind over the festive period as you enjoy time with friends and family.
I thank each and every person who has volunteered over the past year and intends to do so over the festive period. It is important you know your work is not taken for granted.
I extend my warmest wishes to all residents of West Lothian and hope you all enjoy a wonderful Christmas and we can all look forward to a positive 2024.
