Festive message from Council Leader Lawrence Fitzpatrick
It's a real honour and a privilege to be Leader of West Lothian Council, and I feel privileged to have met so many amazing people while carrying out these critical tasks in a very challenging year.
West Lothian is set to face more challenges in the future, but it fills me with confidence and hope that we can weather any storm, when we have so many dedicated individuals and organisations in the community who are committed to doing all they can to make local lives better.
I'd like to thank everyone who works their hardest to make West Lothian the best place possible, such as volunteers, council workers, public sector partners such NHS, Fire and Police, and so many more.
Christmas is a time to see loved ones and take some time to reflect on the year past. I hope you find some time of the festive period away from the hustle and bustle of daily life to consider what's most important to you.
Please consider those in the community who might need extra support at this time, and if you are struggling, remember that help is out there for those who need it.
I hope you all have a very merry and peaceful Christmas and a happy New Year to one and all.
Lawrence Fitzpatrick
Leader of West Lothian Council
