Silver success for schools brass band
Congratulations to the West Lothian Schools Brass Band (WLSBB) on a fantastic silver award at the recent Scottish Youth Brass Band Championships.
The talented young musicians from across West Lothian achieved the accolade in the development section for their performance at Perth Concert Hall, which saw 30 youth bands competing in five categories, with over 500 young musicians from across Scotland.
The band received a lot of positive feedback on their performance, which included renditions of rock classics, Eye of the Tiger and Final Countdown, with one judge describing it as a "...a really enjoyable programme with lots of great playing."
The certificate marks a return to competitive performances by the WLSBB after a number of years, and they aim to enter more competitions in the future.
