Sensory event delivered at Livingston North Partnership Centre
West Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership, recently held a Sensory Services, See Here Event to promote Sight and Hearing loss services in West Lothian.
The event at Livingston North Partnership Centre saw four separate sessions held with two for professionals including a key note speech from Sarah Stevenson Hunter who is the University of Oxford's Staff Disability Advisor, working to support and advocate for disabled staff across the University.
Two sessions were also held specifically for participants with sight and/or hearing loss with presentations from service providers Visibility Scotland, Deaf Action and Sense Scotland.
Sarah who is blind is an experienced and dedicated disability and LGBTQ+ advocate, campaigner, trainer and podcaster.
Training sessions were held on the day looking at building skills and knowledge in topics such as Accessible Communication, Human Rights, Assistive Technology, Rehabilitation and Habilitation.
