Employment opportunities aplenty at local jobs fayre

Over 100 prospective jobseekers attended the event held at Bathgate's Reconnect Regal Theatre with The Window Supply Company, Lush and Genius Foods among the businesses offering potential career paths.

This is the latest careers event organised by the councils Access2Employment team of professional employment advisers who offer tailored support to help clients secure new or better employment, training or educational opportunities.

Plans are already underway to organise a similar event and details will be released via the West Lothian Council website and social media channels in due course.

Executive councillor for Economy, Community Empowerment and Wealth Building, Kirsteen Sullivan attended the event. She said: "The event hosted by the Access2Employment team provided a fantastic opportunity for individuals to connect with a wide variety of businesses and learn more about what it takes to take that first step onto certain career paths.
