Road works on the A899, Livingston
Maintenance works on the A899 dual carriageway in Livingston are planned for Monday 10 July for seven days (9am-4pm each day). (That's the spine road running from Dobbies to the Lizzie Bryce Roundabout).
No roads are completely closing but single lane closures on slip roads and approach roads will be in place to allow for grass cutting, cutting back of shrubbery, inspections of lighting, clearing of gullies and sweeping of road surfaces. The works will start at the Dobbies roundabout and go up towards the Lizzie Bryce roundabout. The council are coordinating works across various teams to maximise what work can be undertaken during the closures. This prevents the need for further closures in the future and will minimise disruption for road users in the longer term.
