Buzz at Beatlie over goodbye bash
A West Lothian school has staged a special celebration to bid farewell to their current building.
Beatlie School Campus hosted The Bye, Bye, Beatlie Big Bash recently to mark the end of their time in their current home at The Mall in Craigshill.
The school provides specialist education for pupils aged three to eighteen with severe and complex support and profound medical needs, and will move a short distance into a new £15 million state-of-the art facility near Xcite Craigswood later this year.
Beatlie pupils and their families joined staff for the party, with local samba band Beats of Brazil providing the entertainment to celebrate the end of an era.
Beatlie Headteacher Carol Robbie said: "Thanks to all the Beatlie families who joined with staff and pupils for our Bye, Bye, Beatlie Big Bash.
"It was wonderful to bring everyone together for a celebration like this.
"It is sad to leave a place which has created so many happy memories for so many people.
"However, we are really looking forward to moving into our wonderful new school with all the opportunities it will offer us."
