The West Lothian Active Travel Plan is a framework for mainstreaming active travel in West Lothian, helping create a culture where individuals have a choice about how they travel.

A revised plan is currently being created and the council is looking to hear more on current travel habits, any perceived barriers to walking, cycling, and wheeling and suggestions for improvements.

For more information and to submit your comments, please visit West Lothian Active Travel Plan Refresh (2023-28).

Please note the deadline for responses is 9am on Tuesday 20 June, and only responses via the survey and interactive map can be counted.

Executive councillor for the environment Tom Conn said: "We are hoping for the views of as many people as possible on active travel in West Lothian for our plan refresh.

"If you currently walk, cycle or wheel in West Lothian, or would like to do so more, please take the survey and tell us what you think.

"The council has received ring-fenced funding that can only be spent on active travel improvements, and we would like to ensure this is used in the most effective way."

If you would rather complete the survey or add map comments over the phone, please call Jenny Muir, Senior Transport Planner at Jacobs, on 0131 659 1547.
