Proposal
West Lothian Council's Education Executive at its meeting on 17 January 2023, authorised Education Services to commence statutory consultation on the proposal to:
Review Admission Arrangements arising from School Catchment Area Variations at Parkhead Primary School and Meldrum Primary School.
Statutory Consultation
In terms of the Schools (Consultation)(Scotland) Act 2010 (the Act), any proposed changes to a school estate in this case relocation of an education establishment, requires Statutory Public Consultation.
The Consultation involves the parents/carers/children and staff of Parkhead Primary School and Meldrum Primary School, as well as all other key stakeholders associated with the schools and statutory consultees as detailed in Schedule 2 of the Act.
Consultation Period
The public consultation period relating to the proposal has now closed. A public meeting to discuss the consultation document was held on - Tuesday 21st March 2023, 7 - 8pm. Venue: West Calder High School.
