West Lothian Council Education Executive agreed the proposal on 20 June 2023.
Proposal
West Lothian Council's Education Executive at its meeting on 06 September 2022, authorised Education Services to commence statutory consultation on the proposal to:
Relocate Eastertoun Nursery School to a new facility within Eastertoun Primary School
Close Eastertoun Nursery School with the establishment of Eastertoun Nursery Class
Statutory Consultation
In terms of the Schools (Consultation)(Scotland) Act 2010 (the Act), any proposed changes to a school estate in this case relocation of an education establishment, requires Statutory Public Consultation.
The Consultation involves the parents/carers/children and staff of Eastertoun Nursery School, Eastertoun Primary School, as well as all other key stakeholders associated with the nursery and statutory consultees as detailed in Schedule 2 of the Act.
Consultation Period
The public consultation period relating to the proposal has now closed. A public meeting to discuss the consultation document was held on - Tuesday 14th March 2023, 7 - 8pm. Venue: Eastertoun Primary School.
