Step up to support local business with West Lothian Gift Card

With Christmas now less than two months away, West Lothian businesses and other organisation are being urged to consider using the West Lothian Gift Card for employee rewards and other incentives this Christmas, in a move that could ensure thousands into the local economy. 
West Lothian Council is supporting the Scotland Loves Local Gift Card, as part of a national campaign through the Scotland's Town Partnership.
The West Lothian Gift Card was launched during November 2021 and can be spent within a wide range of multiple businesses across the County, including retail, hospitality, leisure and services, and with both national brands and local and independent businesses.

A West Lothian Gift Card spokesperson said: "This autumn, winter and festive period we have the chance to step up for West Lothian, and show our support by thinking local first. 
"We're asking businesses, organisations and local groups, to think hyper local with their employee rewards and incentives, boosting the local communities where their organisation is based as well as where their employees and volunteers live, work and go to be entertained.
"There are over 76,000 employees in West Lothian. If 10% of those employees were given a £10 West Lothian Gift Card that would equate to £76,000 locked into our local area, supporting our valued and hard-working local businesses, our local people and our local jobs. We can make a tangible difference locally, and build a better future by thinking, choosing and spending locally."
