Local residents invited to select the design of new public art for Whitburn
Local residents are being asked to help select the design of a new permanent piece of public art which is to be installed outside the new Whitburn Partnership Centre.
This is the latest phase of a West Lothian Community Choices public engagement process which has already seen local people have the opportunity to contribute to the design of multiple options for the public art which will sit proudly in the heart of Whitburn town centre. The artist Ailsa Magnus has engaged with the local community and has designed three public art concepts.
Members of the community are now being asked to select their favourite design.
In addition to this, Ailsa Magnus will be holding further engagement events within Whitburn Library on Friday 1 April 2022 from 11:00 till 16:00 and also on Saturday 2 April 2022, from 10:00 till 13:00.
The public will be able to view picture boards and drawings to understand the design concepts. These sessions will also be an opportunity for members of the public to meet the artist, view miniature 3D models of each of the designs and share comments and ideas in person with the artist.
