The Edinburgh Society of Model Engineers

A model engineering club based at the Almondell Model Engineering Centre near Pumpherston. We are constructing a large small scale railway and engineering centre on our own 11 acre site and always looking for active people who want to get involved.

We are a growing model engineering club and always looking for new people from any background to get involved. We have quite a few retired engineers but any model maker or someone that has an interest in model engineering or making things will find an interest here.

We meet on Thursdays and/or Saturdays when working parties construct track and infrastructure for our small scale railway. Turn up from 10am onwards (bring a pack lunch). Anybody who is fit and active can find a role.

Subject to Covid rules, we meet on Tuesday evenings for indoor events in winter and outdoor events in summer. We have an N gauge model railway club that runs every 2nd Wednesday evening and we host various meetings of other model making clubs.

We are always open to ideas for working with other hobby and community groups.
