West Lothian U3A

We are a group of retired people from West Lothian & west Edinburgh who like to keep their minds active by learning in an informal environment. West Lothian U3A is part of the worldwide U3A movement.

We hold an Open Meeting monthly (except July) on the 3rd Wednesday of the month from 2 to 4 at Uphall Community Education Centre, with speakers on a variety of topics - see website for a list of speakers.

The hall has disabled access.

We also have over 20 Special Interest Groups These currently include Art Appreciation, Singing, Walking, Science for Everyone, Cinema. For a full list of Groups and details of days & times of meetings, see website. Everything is organised by members for members.

Eligibility: Anyone who is no longer in full-time employment. New members are always welcome. Contact the Membership Secretary Anne on 01506 844274 or via the website.

There is an annual membership fee that covers all meetings except visits to venues that charge for entrance or for tickets.  The fee for 2021-22 is £15 for one academic year. Fees are reviewed annually.
